Steps to Improvement Clinic
This clinic will cover all aspects of the game from tee to green. Each lesson will give insight to help the player understand his or her swing through various activities, skills, drills, and implementation of practice routines. This program is designed for the Intermediate Player (10-20 handicap) who is wanting lower scores, more consistency, and increasing their knowledge of the game. The clinic will be videotaped in its entirety with the last lesson including a 15 minute video break down showing each players progress. This clinic will be limited to the first 4 people.

Short Game Clinic

Ladies Clinic
Bring a friend and experience learning in a non-intimidating, fun environment. This is also a great opportunity to meet women to play golf with. Don't have clubs? Let the staff know and we can assist you. We also offer custom club fitting to assist you in upgrading or selecting your own golf equipment.
Instruction is offered for three different golfing levels:
Beginners – Learn the basics and gain knowledge of how each club should work for you.
Intermediate – For golfers with experience who need help fine tuning the basics, improvement in the short game and work on some mental thoughts to help take your golf game to the next level.
Advanced – This on course setting helps improve strategy, the mental game as well as course management.

Our 7-week summer program offers juniors weekly instruction and four golfing opportunities at Lake Shawnee Golf Course and Cypress Ridge Golf Course.

Does your young child seem interested in golf? This golf camp is for youngsters who want to start experiencing golf. It's an opportunity for the little ones to get involved in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
Pee Wee Junior Golf Camp is a 3-day camp for ages 3 to 5 year olds.

This program is designed for both the new and the intermediate golfer. The Adult Golf Academy meets for one-hour a week, on Saturdays for four consecutive weeks. The Academy's Instructors provide assistance in all areas of the game including chipping, putting, irons and woods. Range balls and golf clubs will be provided when necessary. All Adult Golf Academy classes have a five to one student to teacher ratio. The fee for the four one-hour Academy classes is $75.

The Junior Golf Academy meets on four consecutive Saturday's. The fee for the Junior Golf Academy is $75. Junior Golf Academy programs are designed for beginning juniors or juniors who have had some exposure to golf. Academy classes provide instruction in all areas of the game including chipping, putting, woods and irons. All Academy classes are scheduled with a five to one student to instructor ratio. Participants may sign-up with friends.

Community Action, Inc and Shawnee County Parks and Recreation offer an exciting program to Shawnee County. The First Tee of Shawnee County offers youth an opportunity to learn the great game of golf and the life enhancing values associated with the game in a fun filled environment. The First Tee of Shawnee County will introduce youth to the game through a certified curriculum that is taught by quality instructors.
